12+13 by F. Hermann/Bligg, arr. by N. McIntosh (Layered Music – SESAC). These instrumental/no-vocal versions are from the collaborative album 'Brass Aber Herzlich' (Universal Music 2012). YBB was asked to re-mix/re-arrange Bligg's entire multi-platinum (CH) album 'Bart Aber Herzlich', and the collaboration was recorded in Madison, WI with Bligg and Fred Hermann. There was a subsequent tour when the album came out in Switzerland. These instrumentals are previously unreleased. Included by permission of Universal Music/DreamStar Entertainment.
14 is a YBB remix of an original Dessa tune, recorded for her remix EP 'Parts of Speech Re-Edited' (Doomtree, 2014), and is by A. Mader (Legend Recognize Legend – ASCAP), M. Wander (Lorem Ipsum – ASCAP), D. Henzie-Skogen and N. McIntosh (Layered Music).
15 is traditional (public domain), arr. by N. McIntosh (Layered Music – SESAC), 16 by N. McIntosh (Layered Music – SESAC), 17 by D. Henzie-Skogen (Layered Music -SESAC), all recorded live in Sempach, Switzerland on 2 Nov 2012. Original studio versions of 15+17 from 'Pax Volumi' (Tru Thoughts, 2013), original studio version of 16 from 'Word on the Street' (1998). We thought it fitting to include a few songs, performed live back-to-back, whose respective releases were 15 years apart.
We chose not to include many songs from our most recent album, as those songs are available on vinyl/CD/digital from vendors far and wide. Many of the songs here have not been available on vinyl since their release or have previously never been available on vinyl.
Art/Design, as always (since 1998!) is by the inimitable Scott Pauli.
